The very successful Spring Equinox Rethinking Permaculture Convergence will be having an encore; just before the Summer Solstice.

There is some sentiment to make this a seasonal event held at the solstices and equinoxes, but this has not yet been decided.

More details as they become available, but it will likely follow the same format as the earlier Convergence events, with the program evolving depending on those who attend and participants encouraged to share their collective wisdom.

Also, you may want to take advantage of the bike trip "adventure workshop" to Wy'east (Mt Hood) immediately following the convergence. See details below. This is truly an amazing opportunity for those who have never done anything like this. Leaders are even considering doing a summit climb.

Hi folks,

I'm excited to announce that we'll be having another "Re-thinking Permaculture" convergence for the Summer Solstice on the weekend of the 17th through the 19th at Kailash Ecovillage. We'll continue our exploration of how we might encourage our transformations towards simplicity, ecological harmony, and compassionate awareness in our daily lives, and in the communities we create. Everyone is invited to attend, and also to lead a workshop if you feel you would like to make that offering. Like last time, there is no charge and food will be provided. We'll post planned workshops in the next few days.

Right after the weekend there will be a week-long trip to Wy'east (Mt. Hood) led by Touching Earth Sangha (my spiritual practice group) that will be a kind of extended adventure workshop coming out of the convergence. Everyone is welcome to come along for that as well, but please let me know if you're interested as soon as possible (a summit climb might be an option). We plan to leave right on Solstice/Full Moon Monday (the 20th), weather permitting.

Hope to see many of you at the Convergence, and please spread the word!
